Jancis Vaughan is a Shrewsbury-based artist working from Studio 6 at English Bridge Studios. Her multidisciplinary practice spans printmaking, oil painting, drawing, and occasional explorations into textiles and collage. Jancis’s work responds to lived experience through observation, association, and a deep appreciation for composition and colour. Whether drawing, painting, or printing, she finds meaning and connection through the physical act of making.
Jancis is the Studio Manager at English Bridge Studios and an Artist Director of MakeSpace CIC, both of which are committed to supporting local artists and nurturing accessible, community-focused creative spaces in Shrewsbury.
Alongside her personal practice and leadership roles, Jancis brings a wealth of experience in arts education. She has run small group workshops and after-school art clubs in Shrewsbury and Oswestry, and has worked as a Creative Practitioner with Meadow Arts in Ludlow. As a qualified Arts Award Adviser (Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver), she is passionate about encouraging young people to engage in and enjoy the arts.
Jancis exhibits her work both locally and regionally, sharing her evolving creative journey with the wider community.
