Jackie Coyle is a painter and mosaic artist based in Shropshire, whose work is inspired by the landscape and its ever-shifting forms. Drawing on both natural and human-shaped environments, Jackie’s practice explores memory, place, and time—capturing not just what is seen, but what is felt beneath the surface.
Her fine art background brings a painter’s sensitivity to her mosaic work, allowing her to blend materials and techniques in imaginative, tactile ways. Whether working in oil paint or mixed media, Jackie layers colour, texture, and meaning—scraping back, rebuilding, and allowing the story of the piece to emerge slowly and intuitively.
Mosaic first captivated Jackie over a decade ago, and she has continued to develop a unique visual language that celebrates experimentation and craftsmanship. From bold mosaics to expressive paintings, her work is grounded in a love for the land and an intuitive response to its spirit.
Jackie works from Studio 6 at English Bridge Studios, where she is part of a vibrant community of artists committed to creativity, connection, and making art accessible to all.
