Summer Collage Club with Caris Jackson

Take time out this summer to slow down, be creative, and connect with others through the

uplifting, accessible, and sustainable art of collage. No experience is necessary—just bring

your enthusiasm!

Led by English Bridge Studios’ resident artist Caris Jackson, this series of workshops will

guide you to create a personalised, joyful portrait - it could be of yourself, a friend or family

member, a celebrity, historical figure, or even your pet.

What You’ll Learn

The best application and gluing techniques.

Visual storytelling and crafting a personal narrative through use of imagery.

Composition, pattern and design skills

Cohesive use of colour to create impact and unity in your design.

Incorporating mixed media materials

What to Bring

A printed portrait image of your chosen subject, approx. A4 size in black and white or

colour. Magazine images, digital print or photocopies are preferable to prints on

photographic paper.

All other materials are provided, including:

A canvas board and a choice of background paint colours

A wide selection of paper collage media, including magazines, vintage broken books

and decorative papers.

Glue, scissors, and lots of sparkly embellishments

Dates Available to book: Thursdays – August 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

By booking onto all 4 weeks you will be able to take away a beautifully

detailed, multi-layered 42 x 60cm portrait that you will be proud to display on your

wall. Come to all sessions and get one of my A4 Prints of your choice.

By booking onto 3 weeks you will create a smaller version of a bespoke 30 x 42 portrait.

By booking onto 2 weeks you will create a 21 x 30cm portrait.

By booking onto 1 week you will get a collage taster session and create a 20 x 25cm piece. Limited to 14 participants per session.
