Stone Stories: Myths, Magic and Mini Books

Join Joseph Scrobb and Jackie Coyle for a free creative workshop inspired by folklore, geology, myths and the hidden stories held within stones.

What stories might a pebble tell if it could speak?

Where has it travelled, what has it witnessed, and what legends might surround it?

In this relaxed and imaginative workshop, participants will explore the myths, mysteries and journeys hidden within ordinary stones and pebbles. Joseph will share tales of magical stones, folklore and ancient legends, before guiding participants to discover a story within a stone of their own.

Using simple bookmaking techniques, everyone will create a small handmade folded booklet inspired by a chosen stone, its imagined history, journey or magical origins.

You are welcome to bring along a favourite small stone or pebble from home, or choose one provided during the session.

No experience is needed and all materials are provided.
