About the event
Join artist Lucy Caddel for a joyful, relaxed day of seascape painting, exploring colour, movement and light through acrylic.
You’ll create your own A3 painting on a cradled birch panel, inspired by a coastal scene that means something to you. It could be cliffs, a harbour, boats, a sunset, or somewhere that simply feels like an escape. Lucy will guide you step by step, sharing techniques for painting water, waves and atmosphere, while giving you space to develop your own style.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a finished piece ready to take home and hang.
A basic supply of materials will be available, but you are encouraged to bring your own. Lucy recommends Amsterdam acrylics and Akoya brushes, including a ½ inch filbert and a fine detail brush.
Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.
This is a relaxed and welcoming workshop, suitable for all levels, whether you paint regularly or are just starting out.
