Portrait painting with Jacob Gourley
Organised by resident artist Jacob Gourley, these are portrait painting day workshops with a professional model, aimed at supplementing the very popular portrait sessions with Avril Boyce. These sessions are not taught, and artists should bring their own materials. Easels and drawing trestles are available.
Led by EBS resident artist Jacob Gourley, these relaxed portrait painting days offer artists the chance to spend an extended session working from a professional model in the surroundings of English Bridge Studios.
Designed to complement the popular portrait sessions with Avril Boyce, these are untutored sessions, giving you the freedom to work at your own pace, experiment, develop a piece over the day or simply enjoy some focused time drawing and painting from life.
Please bring your own materials. Easels and drawing trestles are available to use at the studios.
There is limited parking available at EBS, with six spaces offered on a first come, first served basis.
A £5 contribution towards the upkeep of the building is appreciated, with cash preferred. Abbey Foregate car park is also just a short walk away.
