Garden Bird OR Plant Pot Mosaic Workshop With Jackie Coyle

Option 1: Garden Bird Mosaic

In this workshop you will make a small bird shaped panel suitable for outdoor hanging. Approx

25cm. We will work with a range of frost-resistant materials including ceramic and glass, laying into a

bed of cement based adhesive onto tile backer board. You will be able to take your fabulous mosaic

creation home with you after the workshop.

Option 2: Mosaic Plant Pots

In this workshop we will work with a range of materials including broken china, glass tiles and pebbles to

design and make a colourful and funky addition to your garden or windowsill. You will work with a

cement based adhesive to lay your design onto a garden flowerpot. You will be able to take your

fabulous mosaic creation home with you after the workshop.

All workshops are suitable for beginners and

will give a gentle introduction to this addictive craft. The workshops will cover health and safety, design

in mosaic, cutting and laying tesserae and cleaning/finishing the mosaic. All materials provided including

tools and masks. Please wear old clothes and closed toe shoes as we will be cutting glass and ceramic. 

Sessions are 3 hours to allow time for people to work at different paces. Those who finish quickly will

have the opportunity to create another small piece.
