EBS Creative Community Weekend

A weekend of art, food, workshops and studio life at English Bridge Studios as part of Belle Vue Arts Festival

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June 2026

Step inside English Bridge Studios for Behind the Studio Doors, a relaxed creative weekend celebrating the artists, makers and creative community based inside EBS.

Taking place as part of Belle Vue Arts Festival, a local celebration of creativity across the Belle Vue area of Shrewsbury, the weekend offers a chance to explore one of the town’s working creative spaces, meet some of the artists based here, and see what happens inside the studios.

English Bridge Studios is home to artists, designers and makers working across painting, ceramics, illustration, print, mosaic, textiles, photography, mixed media and more. Across the weekend, visitors can wander through the building, see work in progress, ask questions, discover different creative practices, and get a closer look at the ideas, materials and processes behind the work made here.

On Saturday 13th June, SCRAN will also be bringing street food, drinks and live music to the car park, creating a lively festival atmosphere outside the studios. Come for the food, stay for the art, and take a wander through the building while you are here.

The weekend will also include creative workshops, including Fantasy Manga Characters with Eira Richards, Imaginative Mixed Media Collage with Caris Jackson, and Stone Stories with Jackie and Joseph Coyle.

Whether you are already familiar with English Bridge Studios or have always wondered what goes on behind the studio doors, everyone is welcome to drop in, explore and spend time with us.

Fantasy Manga Characters Workshop

A creative workshop exploring fantasy manga characters, perfect for anyone who wants to develop imaginative characters and storytelling through drawing.

1.30pm to 3.30pm

Imaginative Mixed Media Collage with Caris Jackson

Inspired by Symbolist, Surreal and fantastical art, this ticketed workshop with artist Caris Jackson invites participants to create imaginative mixed media collage work using a range of materials and creative prompts.

Tickets are £30 per person. All materials are provided. Suitable for ages 12 and over. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday 14th June

2pm to 4.30pm

Stone Stories with Jackie and Joseph Coyle

A free, family friendly workshop exploring myths and stories around stones. The session will include storytelling from Joseph alongside a practical craft activity, inviting visitors to create, imagine and connect through folklore, making and conversation.
