About the event
China Mosaic Workshop with CracktPotJo
Join Jo, aka CracktPotJo, for a hands on day exploring pique assiette, the art of creating mosaics using pieces of broken and unwanted china.
During the workshop, Jo will guide you through the whole process, from choosing and nipping your china to composing your design, sticking everything into place and finally grouting your finished piece.
You’ll be able to choose from a selection of shapes, including a bird, heart or square, and there will be plenty of china available to work with. If you have a special piece of china at home that you would love to give a new life, you’re very welcome to bring it along too.
Jo will share the techniques she uses in her own work, along with her enthusiasm for rescuing beautiful pieces of unwanted china and turning them into colourful, characterful objects for the home.
No previous mosaic experience is needed, and all materials are included
Saturday 10 October 2026 | 10am to 4pm | £80 per person
