Arts Cafe with Dan Berry

Join us for Arts Cafe with Dan Berry, the Shrewsbury based artist behind Things by Dan.

Dan is a cartoonist, illustrator, designer, creative producer and educator whose work spans comics, drawing, storytelling, handmade pens, type design, podcasts, video and creative workshops. His practice is playful, wide ranging and rooted in the joy of making things, telling stories and helping other people explore their own creative ideas.

Across his career, Dan has independently published comics, collaborated on graphic novels, designed custom typefaces for comic artists, created the Blade Pen, taught illustration and comics, and hosted the long running interview podcast Make It Then Tell Everybody.

Dan will share work from across his career and talk about comics, storytelling, creative experimentation and the realities of making a living from ideas, followed by an informal audience conversation and questions.

Arts Cafe is open to everyone. Whether you are an artist, maker, student, comic lover, designer, or simply curious about creativity, you are very welcome.
